Art Deco Marquise Diamond and Emerald Ring

$21,600

Item#: RC144

Charming Art Deco diamond ring with emerald accents and elaborate detailing is a lovely engagement ring, or everyday ring. The marquise-shaped center stone is beautifully showcased in an east-west orientation. The origins of the marquise diamond go back to the 1700s in France, when King Louis XV asked a jeweler to create a diamond shaped like the lips of his mistress, Madame de Pompadour. The diamond shape was named the marquise as a nod to her rank in noble lineage.
